INTERNATIONAL AFRICAN ARTS CONFERENCE 2021 UGANDA

You are warmly invited to join the International African Arts Conference in Kampala, Uganda from 24-28 September 2021. We invite African and international Arts stakeholders to attend the conference. The African Arts Association committee was established in 2019 and interim board members were selected. During the conference, AfrAA members will have the privilege to elect their first official Executive Board. The African Arts Association includes a network of Creative Arts practitioners and aims to provide a means and platform for interdisciplinary interaction, learning and development.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Theme: “Unlocking the creative potential of African Nation through Arts and Culture in Post”

Prospective authors are encouraged to share knowledge and skills which speak to how the arts have evolved in recent times, especially considering the impact of the global pandemic on the arts. Submissions for paper presentations, poster presentations, workshops and exhibitions are welcomed. Prospective authors are encouraged to contribute original and unpublished work within all areas related to the Arts (including community-based artists, performing artists, professional artists, arts educators and researchers).

  • Please note that conference presentations will be 20 minutes (3000 words)
  • Workshops will range between 30 and 60 minutes (please indicate your preference in your abstract submission)
  • Abstract submissions for exhibitions are also welcome
